Live speech-to-text interpreting and live translation between English and German

We are pleased to offer AI-supported live speech-to-text interpreting and live translation between English and German at some of the events in cooperation with the Diversity Support Center (DSC) at the University of Duisburg-Essen. This works using QR codes on your own smartphone or tablet. The transcription and/or translation can be delivered in both written and audio form.

With this service, we seek to promote inclusion and break down accessibility barriers. It is primarily aimed at participants who benefit from speech-to-text interpreting, as well as our international guests and participants with different language skills. 

In the document below, you will find a list of events for which we can offer speech-to-text interpreting, as well as the QR codes that will take you to the live speech-to-text interpreting for your event. The QR codes are sorted by event location. The document will also be available as a booklet at check-in and at the information desk. In addition, the corresponding QR codes will also be displayed in all event rooms.
