Information for participants
We are aware of the importance of accessibility and want to make our congress as inclusive as possible. Accessibility is a complex topic that we as organizers and participants of the congress want to work on together. As organizers, we have set ourselves the goal of meeting the different needs of the congress participants as best as possible. At the same time, we are aware that there are structural barriers. Local and situational challenges may arise during the congress, as the Duisburg campus is unfortunately not barrier-free. We have set out to identify and remove barriers wherever possible, while at the same time providing information about the barriers that we have not been able to remove. The information on this page is updated on an ongoing basis.
If you have any accessibility requirements or other general conditions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Suggestions or concerns are also welcome at any time.

We are pleased to announce that, thanks to the support of the Diversity Support Center (DSC) at the University of Duisburg-Essen, students with disabilities or chronic illnesses can receive financial support to participate in the congress.
Through the provision of inclusion funds, we are able to cover the following costs for this group:
- Congress registration fees
- Travel expenses
- Costs for assistants and accompanying persons
Please register by email no later than September 5th, 2025, if you wish to attend the congress and belong to the above-mentioned group: dgskongress-barrierearmut(at)uni-due.de
No proof of disability or chronic illness is required. Further details and information on what can be covered in individual cases will be agreed upon individually.
