The participation fee for students has been reduced by up to 40% compared to the previous congress and amounts to 50 euros with GSA membership and 70 euros without GSA membership until May 31, 2025. From June 1, 2025, the participation fee for students with GSA  membership will be 70 euros or 90 euros without GSA membership. A student council ticket will also be available in advance for 220 euros. This allows up to five students to attend the congress.

Congress participation for students with disabilities or chronic illnesses

Thanks to the support of the Diversity Support Center (DSC) at the University of Duisburg-Essen, inclusion funds can be made available to students with disabilities or chronic illnesses, enabling them to participate in the 42nd Congress of the German Sociological Association in Duisburg. These funds cover congress registration fees, travel expenses, and costs for assistants and accompanying persons. If you belong to the above-mentioned group of people and would like to participate in the DGS Congress in Duisburg, please register by email no later than September 5, 2025: dgskongress-barrierearmut(at)uni-due.de. Proof of disability or chronic illness is not required. Further details and information will be arranged individually.
